No launch after installation [SOLVED]

Hello. I just reformatted my XP SP3 machine and tried to reinstall Audacity 2.0.5 (latest version). Audacity 2.0.5 was on the same machine before reformatting and re-insllation of XP.

The issue is this: The Audacity installation procedure works fine, but when pushing the “Finish - Launch Audacity” button, I get this message (partial here):
“Create process failed, Code 14001”.

I have followed the instruction to try a re-install of Audacity, but this does not cure the problem, Any help appreciated.

Well, it pays to read the fine print when downloading software. The launch problem and its fix are described on the Audacity download page, but I missed it. I have since followed the Microsoft redistribution file link, and the problem is now solved.
