Using Windows 7 and Audacity 2.0.3., but have no input devices. My audio host choices are MME and Windows Direct Sound. Output choices are Realtek High Definition and Microsoft Sound Mapper. Switching between any and all makes no difference. On my old XP computer and older Audacity I could record whatever was playing on whatever device with no problems. Where are my input devices? Thanks.
Whenever somebody complains they can’t record anything, they usually mean they can’t record YouTube sound or other on-line sources. Self Recording not a guaranteed service when you buy your computer and some newer computers come without it.

Hey Pardner, I said I was looking for my input devices. Do you know where they are located, or is this just a rant on self recording? Thanks.
That’s exactly what I needed. Thanks.
He’s the good cop.
That doesn’t appear anywhere in the wikis does it?
