Audacity 2.3.3, Windows 10 on Lenovo Flex 5. I want to take headphone output from Yamaha amplifier and input it into the laptop. But there is no external microphone input on the Lenovo. Is there some gimmick to do it, or do I have to go back to my old HP with Win 7? Thanx for the help.
To plug in a headphone output, you should plug it into a “line input” in the computer (not a “mic input”).
If your computer does not have any audio inputs, you will need to use an external (USB) audio device.
(I use a Behringer UCA-202, which has proven to be cheap, reliable, and good quality sound)
