Newbie idiot guide needed :-)

Hi Everyone, thanks for allowing me to join. I am running windows 10 and have audacity 2.3.3. Can someone please tell me what settings to record audio from a online video? I hadn’t used it for ages, someone had set it up for me, I had to do an update and now it doesn’t seem to be recording, very low levels at the top and nothing on the large visualsier screen. I have tried all sorts, im not very tech savvy and the help guides just blow my mind (im on meds for pain) , soI really need an idiot guide before i launch my pc :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: Please can anyone advise?

I have tried all that, I still seem to not be recording :frowning: Ive lost the side bar too :frowning:
