New track won't record voice [SOLVED]

Hello All,

I’m using Audacity 2.4.2 on Debian Linux. I can record my voice on an initial track on a new project just fine but when I create a new track, Audacity won’t record. I’ve tried clicking the record button and using shift R which both creates the new track but no recording happening. I’m also clicking the track to make sure that it’s been selected. I would appreciate any help to resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Well, since 2.4.2 was pretty out of date, I upgraded to 3.2.4. Problem solved. :slight_smile:
