New project will not open on older version of Audacity

Have created a project using Audacity 3.6.4, and it works fine, until a friend attempted to open it on Audacity 2.3.3.

Version 3 projects cannot be opened in version 2.

Your options are:

  1. Export all your tracks to WAV or AIFF and have your friend reconstruct the project.

  2. Your friend updates to version 3.6.4 or later.
