Currently the export widget reverts to last folder used as default which is fine for some users, but it would be nice to have the option to set default output to ‘Original folder’ with option to either overwrite original or rename the exported file (by adding incremental #, for example). The current system seems overly cumbersome to me…
That would be a really big help.
The number of times I have accidentally saved in the folder of a previous project as I often forget that it doesn’t export to the same folder that the Audacity file is in.
Saving to original folder is also a huge labour saver when doing large batch jobs…
