I just updated my audacity on windows 10 to 2.2.2 and now im having an issue where I get a dropout every recording. I was recording just fine before the update and I get this error everytime but I can’t actually tell what part of the audio is droping out.
How do you know that you are getting a dropout, and how do you know that you were not previously getting dropouts?
If it’s because of the new “dropout detection”, that places a label close to each detected dropout. This is a new feature. In previous versions of Audacity, you would only know that you had a dropout if you could hear it.
If you switch the track to “spectrogram view”, dropout may be visible as a vertical red line.
If you are getting a dropout at the very start of a recorded track, you can simply trim off the start (which in most cases you would do anyway).
