Need Help with Audacity

I have Audacity Version 1.2.6 and Windows 7 Home Prem… I recorded a Cassett tape to Audacity and now I want to seperate the tracks to put on a cd. How to I go about doing this. I am new to this forum and I hope I put this in the right place… Thank for the help!!!

Audacity 1.2.6 is no longer supported (and does not work well on Windows 7). Please upgrade to Audacity 2.0.2 which you can get here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Ok I DL’d the one for Win 7 and opened the folder where I recorded the music. I also added the Title and Song #'s to tags. But still as one CD with just one track for the whole CD. Am I doing something wrong…Thanks again for the replies…

You need to split the recording into separate files before making the CD.
See parts 4 and 5 of the tutorial that I gave the link to.

Thanks Steve, Work greats!!! Now if I don’t forget how to do this again. Cut And Paste it to MS word for a cheat sheet. Thanks Again!

If you installed Audacity 2.0.2 using the recommended installer, the manual will be available in the Audacity Help menu.
The manual open up in your web browser so it is easy to add “bookmarks” (“favourites”).
