I’ve never seen a forum for OCENaudio.
They have an official YouTube channel … https://www.youtube.com/@OcenaudioBr ( 1video),
Facebook … https://www.facebook.com/ocenaudio , and Twitter … http://www.twitter.com/ocenaudio .
Unofficial YouTube tutorials … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYfVaM1Uhvk&list=PLQHu_R0sMkGRVuTuJVulK10vpUPaBCa74&index=1
great thanks
HI im still searching a forum where at least some people know the program,
Any ideas?
maybe some audioforum or soundeditor forum? i dont know where to look…
Another (but more recent) unofficial video … https://youtu.be/dWP-a7lTCMc?&t=119
Hi
wow I am surprised as to how little info i can find on compression.
i watched the video you posted and also watched the playlist sent before but i did not hear the compression talked about.
Do you use ocen?
I dont know much about audio but my intuition tells me that there should be in ocean a commande to compress the file?
Or maybe it is the 16 bit recording added to the ogg file that makes the compression?
Would you happen to know if i save in mp3 how much smaller compared to the regular saving format that I dont know the name , would the file be?
thanks
A sample rate of 22050Hz at 16-bit depth is good enough for a voice (or dog) recording
Then when you save as Ogg Vorbis, or MP3, there will be file-size compression: they are lossy formats. Saving mono recordings of 22050Hz as mp3 or ogg, OCENaudio will automatically use a bit-rate of ~80kbps => each hour of audio will take up less than 40Mb, 12 hours less than 500Mb (<0.5Gb).
[ Personally I would use a dedicated recording device, rather than a computer, to make a recording which is many hours long, A dedicated device is more reliable ].
sounds great! i ll try that
have a nice evening
hi to zoom out on Ocenaudio, it says meta plus alt plus right.
i did not find meta button on that . how to do the shortcut zoom out then ?
can we change the button used?
On mine it says “Ctrl"plus”-" for horizontal zoom-out …
I’ve never tried to change the keyboard shortcuts “Key bindings” in OCENaudio, but apparently it is possible in preferences.
