Need A Little Help Please

Hi folks,

I’m new to Audacity and looking for some help so please bear with me. What I’m trying to do is simple enough but I can’t figure it out (use to Roxio Sound Editor '07) and I’m sure it is just a matter of learning the software through trial and error and repitition. I have tracks which need to have track marks inserted into them, label accordingly and then exported back into the windows folder from which they came. In other words one track may contain 2 or more songs and I wish to isolate those songs and put them back into the windows folder. An example would be Prince’s Lovesexy album. It is simply one track without any track marks inserted. When ripped it is one track simply titled “01 - Eye One.” Prince did this intentionally. How do I, step by step, break this apart into the 9 tracks, label them and then export them back into the file/folder in windows?

This works for joining separate Audacity tracks which are one above the other into one longer track: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_editing.html#join .
