how to set a name ?

The default “clip name” comes from the track name.

The track name can be set it the track’s context menu (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audio_track_dropdown_menu.html)

Individual clip names may be changed by:

1. Double click on the clip name.
2. Type a new name.
3. Press “Enter” or click somewhere else to exit name editing.
