I was recording my final musical test, after i finished and saved my project, i opened it again and suddenly all my progress was gone!
Please help! It’s important to me!
Which version of Audacity are you using?
If you are using Audacity 2.4.2 or earlier and you have moved or deleted the project “_data” folder, you must undelete / move it back to where it was.
Im using Audacity 3.0.2
I understand that you may not have taken much note of these details, but if you do it may help us to understand what went wrong.
Did you exit Audacity and then launch it again, or did you just close the project, leaving an empty Audacity window open, and then re-open the project?
Do you recall if there was a “Compacting” window pop-up when you closed the project? If so, did you wait for it to finish or cancel it?
What is the file size of the project AUP3 file now?
