Muse FX EQ not functioning correctly between tracks

The addition of realtime effects was a fantastic implementation that I now consistently use; however, I’ve come across a problem:
Often, when I use the Pro EQ, if I duplicate a track to have multiple with different EQ settings, when I change one, the other changes too - even though I don’t want it to. It’s as if Audacity treats all EQs for all tracks as one global EQ, which is very unhelpful during mixing. (e.g. Track
1 and Track 2, I edit the settings for track 1, and track 2’s settings change along with it, even though they are entirely separate)
Sometimes I can get it to function correctly, but I simply do not understand what is happening.
I’d also like to mention that, occasionally when I change EQ settings on a single track, as soon as I close the EQ, the changes revert. However, this doesn’t always happen, only occasionally?

I don’t know if any of this is being caused by my ignorance or a flaw on Audacity’s side, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. on a slightly separate topic, it would be nice if the Pro EQ would load up on a default 0 0 0 0 preset, not the “Pop Vocals” -1 -1 4 2 preset. Not a massive problem, but a small inconvenience that adds up. Just something I’d like to see implemented in the future. Thanks again

This is a known issue. See this trouble report: The realtime effect settings of a duplicated track are not independent · Issue #4169 · audacity/audacity · GitHub

and this proposed Pull Request which may fix the problem: Make realtime effect settings of duplicated track independent... by Paul-Licameli · Pull Request #4325 · audacity/audacity · GitHub

Ah right, I was unaware it had been brought up before. Thank you very much
