MP3 will not play

Windows 7, Audacity 2.1.0 from .exe file.
Recording goes well, robust wavefroms, then I Export as .wav and as .mp3.
When I open the MP3 in Windows player, nothing plays. Tried it in my car deck and no sound their either.

But the WAVs play perfectly everywhere?

yes, the wave can be recalled and all is well.

I’m guessing you don’t really have an MP3…

Can you open the MP3 in Audacity?

Does the file size look about right (compared to other MP3s with similar playing time and similar bitrate)?

…If you want a quick work-around, use [u]TAudioConverter[/u] to convert from WAV to MP3.
