Monitoring sound whilest recording

Hi I am using audacity 3.7. with windows 11. I am trying to record cassettes to put them onto cd’s. The recording seems to work and it plays back ok but when recording there is no sound through the speakers. I have as far as i know got it set up correctly.Host,Windows wasapi. Playback device Dell 272 display audio recording realtek high defenition audio. channels 2 stereo

Thanks for that. however it seems to be set as you decsribe. I could be doing something stupid but it seems to be set up ok. As I said once i have recorded it the tracks play fine and when recording the record level shows it is just that I cannot monitor what i am recording (See screen shots)

Thank you. It was me being stupid! I should have unticked play other tracks while recording and ticked software playthrough of input. O got there in the end though.
