Hi,
I’m a newbie looking for some help. On Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and Audacity 2.1.2.
I am frequently editing music stored in iTunes. I start by “Importing Audio” and Audacity opens the song showing 2 tracks (since the songs are in stereo). In some cases, I want to listen to each of the tracks separately, apply effects separately and perform other edits separately to each track. Undoing these separate actions on each of the tracks is also a possibility. I would typically then want to listen to the combined tracks together but ideally still preserve the ability to perform or undo edits on each track separately. At the conclusion of this activity, I would then want to permanently rejoin the two tracks, perhaps perform additional edits to both tracks, and then “Export Audio” to save the results back to my desktop (and then back to iTunes).
One unrelated question: is there a tool that would enable me to stretch out a sound for a period of time?
Thanks. I was unable to find clear treatment of this topic in the manual and sincerely appreciate your help.
