Hello,
My goal is to record internal sound of a MacBook pro when i am mixing music with a physical mixer and Djay programm ( algoridim). Do to it I am using also blackhole.
Is it working, it’s recording but the sound is stopping sometime after 5 minutes sometimes more like 30 minutes. It’s still recording but the record is empty of sound
What I can check to solve it ?
Thanks
I am familiar with doing this, although not using Algoridium’sDjay software or Blackhole. I assume that Blackhole is a virtual audio routing driver of some type. To be able to help I would need to know how you are routing , what equipment you are using and (most importantly) if this is all under MacOS and what version you are using. If it is a Virtual Audio Driver, does it require a software license? It could be why you are only getting 5 minutes.

Good evening and thank you very much for your reply.
I recently switched from windows to mac.
The advantage of the djay software is the possibility of using streaming services like apple music. The disadvantage is that you can’t record your mixes because of licensing problems. The solution is to record the Mac’s internal sound. Many people seem to have used soundflower in the past, but this application is no longer updated. An alternative seems to be blackhole ( there may be better alternatives ??? ).
"BlackHole is a macOS virtual audio loopback driver that allows applications to pass audio to other applications "
As far as I know, there are no time limits on use. Sometimes the sound cuts out after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes. Recording continues but no sound arrives in audacity ( Continuous line). Before the bug sound becomes jerky.
Macbook air
macOS sonoma
Puce Apple M1
Thank you for your help
