Mix & Render Only Selected Region of Multiple Tracks?

I have several synced stereo tracks. I would like to select a region in three of those tracks; and then mix & render to a new track only the selected portions of the three tracks. Is there a way to do this?

Select the regions, then duplicate them, (“Ctrl”+“D”), then select the duplicates and apply mix & render.

This was much simpler in the past. I selected the audio and simply rendered the selection to a new track.

How can I mix and render some selected audio?
