Mix and render problem

hi, newbie here, any help appreciated.

When I mix and render, the new track doesn’t appear?

If you mix and render to a new track it appears at the bottom of your existing tracks: you may have to scroll down to see it.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately that’s the problem, it doesn’t appear…..

As a work-around, Exporting will mix.

It’s a couple of extra steps and you may want to export as 32-bit floating point WAV and then re-import because mixing is done by summation and regular (integer) WAV files are limited to 0dBFS and you can get clipping (distortion) in the exported file.

Even if your chosen format can exceed 0dB your file shouldn't because the listener can clip their DAC when listening at full digital volume.
