Thanks for taking the time to help me out,
I’m Running Audacity 2.2.0
When I try to open my .aup file, I get the error:
Project check of “myfile_data” folder
detected 1 missing audio data (.au) blockfile(s),
probably due to a bug, system crash, or accidental
deletion. There is no way for Audacity to recover these missing files automatically.
yadayada… options to close, treat missing as silent, or permanently replace missing audio with silence (I was sure not to click this.)
The help log gives me this information:

I had saved the file successfully, and then had opened some other .au files and did some post-production (including several saves). I also thought to rename the folder they were saved in from “new folder” to “audacity”. I tried changing the folder name back, but that didn’t solve the issue. In the same directory where the myfile.aup file is-- there is a directory called myfile_data, which has 323 files in it. If I select the option to treat the missing files as silent, I am left with zero audio within my project.
C:\Users\TapMedia2.TapMedia-HP\Desktop\Audacity\joey is where the “my file.aup” file lives
C:\Users\TapMedia2.TapMedia-HP\Desktop\Audacity\joey\my file\e00 is where a d00 and a d01 folder contain 323 files lives
Am I screwed with this file? It seems like the files are there… I don’t understand what the issue with the shared dll is in the above log. If I’m screwed and you’ve any idea what I did to mess it up, it would be good to avoid breaking my save files in the future. Thanks for the help!
