Migrating from Windows, can't get VSTs installed

I’m helping my wife shift from a Windows PC to a new Mac. She has a small suite of VSTs that she uses to produce her weekly radio show. These have been dialed in to get the sound she wants and I’d like her new environment to give her the familiar sound. Problem is, following the instructions at https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_effect_generator_and_analyzer_plug_ins_on_mac_os_x.html#vst_install, no matter where I put the plug-ins, relaunch Audacity and go to Manage Plugins, the VSTs are not showing up as New. So.

Catalina 10.15.5, Audacity 2.4.1

Right now I have the target VST .dlls in:
~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins

And no dice. Audacity denies that they are available.

Oh – one thing – that page on manual.audacityteam.org says to try “All paths specified by the “VST_PATH” environment variable.” printenv does not show a VST_PATH environmental variable.

Anyway, how can I get Audacity to find the VSTs?

Thank you!

Do you have the Mac versions of the VST effects?

Oh jeez. No, they are the Windows versions. Duh.

Well, that clears up THAT mystery!

Thanks!
