I’ve been using audacity to record a podcast and I notice that the recording volume at the top keeps changing while I’m recording. I checked my settings in Windows and I have the input volume set at a certain level and that hasn’t changed. I don’t understand how to keep the volume at one level while recording. I start the podcast at a level ~0.6 so the beginning of my podcast sounds loud enough but as I continue to record it decreases all the way to the minimum. Last episode I had to adjust it back after every sentence I spoke. I’m not using any other applications like Skype. Just a microphone and talking in Audacity.
