Mic not working in Audacity

Hello, it seems that every-time I open Audacity my mic isn’t recognized by the software. I have tried multiple ways to resolve this problem such as:

  • Closing it and opening it again,
  • Restarting my computer,
  • Configuring through control panel,
  • unplugging and replugging my mic.

But none of these have worked, unfortunately. Does anyone have any other advice to fix this… please?

What sot of Mic?
Which version of Windows?
Which version of Audacity? (look in “Help > About Audacity” for the full version number)

Open Windows Control Panel and check to see if Windows recognizes your mic. Then make sure it’s enabled. (On most Windows versions, right-click the speaker/volume icon and select Recording Devices.)
