Mic is recognized but not recording

I am on version 2.1.2 using a Plantronics mic. I have used this many times with Audacity, but for some reason, it wont record now. The mic is recognized. If I switch to internal mic, it records fine. Please advise.

With the same computer?

What’s the model number of the microphone? Is it USB or analog?

What’s the make & model of computer? If it’s an analog mic, does the computer have separate mic & headphone jacks or a combo jack?

I’m having the same problem using the latest 2.3.3 version of audacity on windows 10. My mic is not recording but it is recongnized.
How do I program my mic to the compouter? do i need to download any softwares or hardwares?
