Thank you for replies to my previous posts. When I export a wav file with Metadata I am able to see the metadata via Windows Media Player on my computer screen during playback. This is just what I want to occur. However, when I burn the wav file to CD and play the song via media player, the metadata is missing, no CD title, song title and the screen reads “artist unknown”. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you, Rob
CDs don’t support metadata.
Windows Media Player often appears to show metadata on CDs when it is really displaying data from its database.
There is an extension to the standard audio CD format called “CD-Text” which is supported by some CD writers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text
Once you have been able to burn a CD containing CD-Text, you could install the WMPCDText plug-in to allow WMP to read the CD-Text.
