I created several short snippets for my students yesterday in Audacity 4.0, and when exporting the audio, I tapped to edit metadata, and typed in the track title, etc. Then I tapped “apply” (and it was definitely saved/still there when I saved the next snippet), but none of the metadata was actually saved with the exported audio file. What am I missing?
You’re not missing anything, Audacity 4 is. In other words, it’s not working. There are open issues on Github for this, so the devs are aware of it.
I recommend you stick with Audacity 3 until a more feature-complete release of Audacity 4 is available.
