Metadata Issue

I’ve seen a number of post about Metadata, but I can’t find one that addresses this issue.

I rip but do not add metadata with Audacity.

I then use Tag&Rename to add Metadata. While I use Tag&Rename to add Metadata to a lot of my rips (including CD rips) and to sort the metadata in downloaded files, for some reason, the information added to the Album Artist field is not read by either of the servers I use. I have no problem with CD rips or downloaded files.

Files were ripped with 2.03 using Windows 7. I’m now using Windows 8.

Any idea why this might be?

Audacity does not do “ripping” so I don’t know what you mean by that.

Is your question about Tag&Rename, or about “the servers you use” (whatever they are) or about Audacity? It is not clear what you are asking.
