Merging Tracks Within an Existing Single Audacity Project

Hi, first post here - thanks in advance for assistance, and, yes, I did first look to the manual and searched the forum before reaching out for help.

I have version 2.2.2 and am using Windows 7.

So I recorded a live performance and then edited the file into a number of sequential tracks. After saving the edited file, I learned that what I edited into tracks 3 and 4 should really have just been track 3. Accordingly, I would like to remove the split that separates these tracks and make it one contiguous track, leaving every other track before and after as they are. Can someone please let me know how I can remove the split between these two tracks without impacting any of the other tracks starting/ending points?

I’m not sure what you are trying to do, but perhaps the “Join” command is what you’re looking for: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/edit_menu_clip_boundaries.html#join
