Menu Items Groups

In versions prior to my latest current version (v3.7.3), the drop down menus listed all options in alphabetical order which made them easy to find. Now they are in Groups and much harder for me to find. Is there a setting to have the groups removed and list all options in the one drop down? Cheers

Are you talking about the Effect menu?

If so, go to Edit > Preferences > Effects and in the Effect menu organization select Sort by effect name
