Hello,
I am trying to capture the sound that is caused by my neighbours heatpump. I have no idea what to look for on my measurements, but i can describe the sound as a constant “hum” that is heard throughout the whole house ( shared building with neighbour ). Sometimes louder, sometimes very faint.
The mic i am using is miniDSP UMIK-1. Audio enhancements in windows 11 are disabled. input level is at 70 %.
So far i have tried
1/ audacity frequency analyzer which gives me this:
I can see a few peaks here. Are one of those caused by the heatpump ?
2/ REW’s RTA with calibration file:
( please look at reply for image because new users can only use 1 media file per post )
I have no idea if something is out of place.
Could you please point me in the correct direction? I have found people that can come and measure this, but they charge 1000 euro and up…
kind regards,
Tom
