macOS 11.4 Big Sur (Audacity won't open)

Hey everyone.

Been using Audacity for the past month. Just tried to open audacity and no matter what I do it just won’t go to the home screen. It tries to restore files that were “shut down,” and when I skip that step nothing will happen.

Do I need to try and reset configuration?

Try these steps provided by Steve:

Try:

1. rebooting the computer,

2. Then remove the files:
   audacity.cfg
   pluginregistry.cfg
   pluginsettings.cfg

3. Then try starting Audacity.

These files are normally located in ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/
