Mackie CR4 through Steingberg UR22 MK2 option

I am considering on buying a set of Mackie CR4 monitors to plug them at the rear 1/4 outputs of the UR22 MK2 interface to record with audacity:

I do record and listen to the recording through a set of headphones. However, during playback the sound comes out distorted from a set of external PC speakers. Will this pair of monitors provide a clean playback? Do i need to disable the pc speaker option on the record and playback option on the bottom right corner speaker icon and select the UR22 MK2 device as playback and record so everything runs directly through the interface bypassing the pc audio card?

The Mackie’s are likely to be a big step up from computer speakers.

If the speakers are connected to the outputs of the UR22, then to use them with Audacity, all you need to do is to set the UR22 as the playback device in the device toolbar.

To use the monitors for playback with other applications, set the UR22 as the default playback device in the Windows Sound Control Panel.
