Hi,
I’m wondering if Audacity can use/see an external device like M-Audio’s FireWire410.

Audacity should be able to see it as long as its drivers include WDM.

On Windows you probably won’t be able to record more than two simultaneous input channels unless you compile Audacity with ASIO support, or perhaps unless you are on older Windows like XP.

This is based on experience with other M-Audio products.

Why not try it?

I am running Windows XP SP3. I’ll hook it up and give it a shot!

I am not familiar with “WDM”, could you break that out for me?
