Hi all!
Using Windows 10.
I need to know if there is a way to use the Fast Track with Audacity and get L/R playback. I realize that the Fast Track only captures in Mono, but when I select Mono to record it brings up a stereo track and only records on one track. Playback only comes through on one side. Also it says something about other programs competing for processor when I hit stop recording, and adds a drop out track?
I was using a very basic Behringer interface but got tons of hiss that noise reduction wouldn’t fix. Sound is crystal clear with Fast track but one sided playback is not going to cut it.
I have only basic understanding of recording software, so any help here would be appreciated lol. I’m hoping I don’t have to buy a new interface. TIA!!
Click the little drop-down arrow to the left of the waveform and select Split Stereo to Mono. That gives you two mono tracks that you can edit independently. Slick the “X” for the silent track to delete it.
Now you have a true-mono track that will play out of both speakers.

I think it’s a 2-channel (“stereo”) interface that records the microphone on channel 1 (left) left and guitar on channel 2 (right).

That, I can’t help with.
Sorry I didn’t reply sooner! I never got an email showing I got a reply :/.
I ended up getting a new interface, a newer M-track Duo and I’m really happy with it. I have had some continued issues with connectivity and weird playback issues, but I think I have resolved them finally. Hoping it’s smooth sailing from here! Thanks!!

I hope this helps.
