Lost mp3 export capacity

I hope someone can help me.
Instead of showing the usual “export,” the drop-down out of File now says “export audio” and there is not the usual drop-down list of choices. Only exporting to WAV shows as an option. And even that is not allowing for transmission out.
I appreciate any help.

In case you haven’t figured it ou yet;

1. Chick the down arrow to open Export format menu.
   

   

2. Choosing mp3 lands you on this nice config. menu
