Looking to hire help with crashed files

Hi - I am new to Audacity.

I recorded a webcast for 1h15m.
Saved the project. Now when I open the file there is no sound wave and no sound.
When I look inside the audacity folders I find hundreds of 5second files with data.

Is anyone knowledgeable and available to work on this for a fee?

Thanks!
Mark

They should be six seconds.

We may be able to help on the forum. If you open the AUP file in a text editor (don’t save anything), does it have English-like words in it.

If it’s blank or has nonsense or graphics characters, that may be the end of the show.

Was this the edit or the raw recording?

Which Audacity are you using? Help > About.

Next time you finish with a recording, but before you start editing, correcting and cutting it, File > Export > Export as WAV and save that as a backup. Copy it over to a thumb drive or some other storage place so you don’t touch it by accident.

If you do find someone who can rescue the show, post back and tell how they did it.
