Looking for help to find a Lost File

Hi. I am new to Audacity and I am trying to find a file I saved but can only find the version of it I edited. If I’ve overwritten it is there a way back?

I honestly do not remember where Audacity saves the file once you Export it (assuming that’s what happened to you). Find an open source application called Agent Ransack, it is a file search like Windows, but IMO, better. Do a search for the name of the song or do a search in Agent Ransack with the following format (*.mp3), it will search all the MP3s you have in your system. Good luck.
