log frequency spectrogram

Hi!

I could really use a logarithmic frequency mode for the spectrogram plot view (that is “spectrum mode”, not Analyze->Plot spectrum). I believe Adobe Audition has this feature. Also, it would be neat to be able to switch between dB and linear power. (Does spectrum mode plot dB power?) And a “phase-ogram” plot (argument of STFT)… dreaming

I use the spectrogram plot extensively for detecting aliasing artefacts of rendered audio and I find that sometimes glitches are easier to spot in log frequency (or as phase discontinuities).

Wow, that was fast! Apparantly I had emerged audacity on May 15 (semi-automatically) but I first saw my feature made 1.3.5 today.
