Apple finally drove me off my old Yosemite system.
Now on a 2018 Intel Mac Mini Mojave.,
Brought everything forward I could manage.
Regained my burner as CalDigit made sure its hub would work.
But lost my Line In connection to the computer.
The hub has Mic in, the computer has optical in.
Any way to regain Line In functionality?
Not talking about MP3 copies.
Asked this earlier but now I have it put together.
An answer from DVDdoug seems to hit the spot.
I just ordered a UCA202
And I realized I only need to find a cord with RCA jacks on each in.
The cord I used to use has a stereo line in plug (see photo)

If it has line inputs, yes. Any USB audio interface with line inputs should work. The Behringer UCA202 (or UCA222) is popular and relatively inexpensive.
A line input is compatible with the regular the standard RCA audio outputs on a CD/DVD player, TV, or the “tape” output on an older stereo etc. They will also work with a headphone output (if you have the correct adapter cable).
