let's me do one action but no more

Hi

I have an MP3 recording on the screen and everything seems fine. I’ve used Audacity on my laptop but this is the first time I’ve used it on my desktop.

I went to delete the first part of the recording and it wouldn’t let me. Then I changed to Windows DirectX at the top left before the play pause array and suddenly it worked.
Okay, so I go to delete the last few seconds of the recording and now we’re back to square one.

It won’t let me save or delete…but when I exit it asks if I want to save and I can…its as if its waiting for me to complete a command?

Any suggestions?

You must be in Stop mode - not Pause mode - to do any editing.
