Hi guys, when I create a new file (a tone) I can’t change the length who is fixed at 30s. When I use numbers of my keyboard (Mac Book Pro) to change anything, it works perfectly. It is really the box to change the length of a file who is blocked !
If someone could have a solution, it would help me a lot … Thanks

The time options have to do with the different ways to measure time. Hours/Minute/Seconds, NTSC Television Frames, PAL Television Frames, etc.

The highlighled number is actually the white one - you can over-type it with a number, the white focus will then move rightwards to the next digit field.
Typing a number in the right-most digit will shift the focus back to the left end.
You can navigate the digits with the left and right arrow keys.
You can click on any of the digits to shift focus directly to them.

Hi and thanks for your participation, but as you can imagine, we of course tried to type over the number highlighted. It is impossible to enter any number or whatever in this box ! Nothing works ! Each time I try, I can hear the famous “bip” to tell you that you are in the wrong place and that it is impossible to enter or change data, no matter if you start with the highlighted number or not, it does not work !!! If it works for you could you please make a screen shot with 01:43:28 ?
Second time of asking: are you using Audacity 2.1.2 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac? Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. If you download from anywhere else you may have a bogus version of Audacity.
When you Generate > Tone, do you already have some other dialogue open?
