I’ve goofed up something on my audacity where the tracks are actually appearing in front of my highlights I’m doing to delete. So almost like photoshop they’re on the wrong “layer”? They are also highlighted blue. So the tracks are where they are supposed to be and everything is working as such, but it’s valuable to me to see my highlight in front of the track so that I know what I’ve captured to generate silence. I tried to attach a screenshot for y’all but I lost my millennial ability to do simple code and get it in here. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!
It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with track highlighting in Audacity, where the highlighted sections are not visually distinct as expected. This can indeed be confusing, especially when you’re trying to identify parts of the track to edit or delete. Check if you’ve accidentally enabled the multi-tool mode in Audacity. This mode can change the way selections and track highlights appear. If the issue persists, you might want to look into the Tracks Preferences for options related to the display of waveform and selections. Adjusting these settings may help restore the highlight visibility to your preference.
