latency and visualized wave form

Hello

I’m using 2.3.2.

In order to remove crackling on a recording I increased my latency buffer to 1000. This worked. However, when I play back the recording, the sound is a long way behind the wave form I’m looking at. How can I get the image to reflect the sound?

Could try increasing Audacity’s CPU priority to “Above Normal”,
(and turning latency buffer back down to 100ms)
