LAME not working - Sierra

Hi,

I have a problem. I’m trying to download Audacity for mac 10.11.6 and it won’t open!
it says:

Audacity cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure Audacity works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.

I tried reinstalling, doesn’t work. and to update any available updates, doesn’t work.

How can i fix this?

Download Audacity 2.3.3 via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/
This version of Audacity has LAME included.
Follow the instructions on that page to install Audacity.
