When I begin to record a voice, it takes a couple of seconds for the scale line to move, which is okay, but when I begin to speak, the first two or three words are either at very low volume or missing entirely. As a workaround, I have been giving myself an audible countdown. On playback, the first part of the countdown is missing, but my first actual narration is recorded. I have been using Audacity for years and I never had this problem until recently. It’s annoying having to do the countdown, but worse, I’m always concerned that I might miss one of the countdowns in the edit and leave it in the recording. There must be a setting to fix this, but I can’t find it. Thanks.
