Hallo, Ik wil graag met audacity mijn keyboardspel opnemen. Ik heb een kabel op mijn laptop aangesloten, en jackpluggen in L R in het keyboard. Wanneer ik de ritmebox aanzet slaan de meters niet uit, Wanneer ik op opnemen druk, krijg ik de melding; Error while opening sound device, check the input device settings and the project sample rate. Wie kan mij helpen, dit te laten werken, doch wil ik u vragen dit in simpele taal te houden en stap voor stap uit te leggen, want ik ben a technisch wanneer het op computers aankomt.

Hello,

I also can do it in englisch, the problem is that, i want to record my keyboard playing whit audacity. i connected a cable to my laptop, en two jacks into the back off the keyboard. So if i play now, the meters dont do nothing, and when i push record, i receive the message;
Error while opening sound device, check the input device settings and the project sample rate.
Can anyone help my whit this?
Also i am not very handy whit computers, so please use simple language.

What operating system are you using? (for example, “Windows Vista Home Edition”).
Are the sockets that you plugged into labeled?

Audacity can’t record from the USB cable assuming it sends MIDI. So you need to open Audacity Device Toolbar and set the input device (third box) to the computer input your non-USB cable is connected to.

You won’t be able to play from Audacity to the keyboard unless it has a line-in for audio input.

Have you read the manual for the keyboard? What is its make and model number?
