Just DL'd, installed, can't open. Can anyone help, please?

Hi All,

I hope everyone is well and managing to stay Covid free.

I just downloaded the current version of Audacity 3.0.4 for Windows and installed it but, when I tried to launch it, I got an error message - please see attached file “naysay.png”

I’m using a Linx 1010B tablet/pc which is running Windows 10 Home. More details in attachments SysInfo_1 and _2

Are you using 32-bit Windows?

Thanks for that link. Yes, I am running a “32-bit operating system, x64-based processor”.

You will need the 32-bit version of Audacity.

Go to this page: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
Wait a few moments and it should automatically offer to start a download - cancel / dismiss that download (that’s the 64-bit version).
Scroll down the page a bit to find the Audacity 3.0.4 32 bit installer and download that.

Uninstall your current version of Audacity,
then install the 32-bit version.
