Is it safe to assume that iXML data imbedded in a wave file will be stripped out when exported from Audacity?
If so, I’m not even going to bother writing any software to view it.
I’m pretty sure it will be “lost”.
When you export, a new file is created. Most of the standard tags/metadata will be copied-over, but that’s not always perfect and for example any embedded album artwork is not copied-over.
