Internal Error at Sequence.cpp line 1167

system Windows 10, current Audacity version 2.2.0
cannot do any effect to the track, message “internal error at Sequence.cpp line 1167” pops up
trying to copy the mono track and paste to stereo, still can’t do anything.
right now i can only record and edit clips, but cannot use any effect.

Please help.

This was probably fixed a long time ago. Try updating Audacity to the current 2.3.3 version: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/
